Founded in Kansas City, MO by Don Collins Sr. as E-CON-O Conversion, the company develops and builds the first Type A school bus

1967
 

E-CON-O moves to Hutchinson, KS as Collins Industry.

1972
 

Collins becomes the first bus company to develop and produce a special needs Type A school bus.

1982
 

Collins designs and builds the industry’s first child-care specific, 14 passenger multi-function school activity bus (MFSAB).

Collins offers the largest selection of Type A product lines in the industry.
